Tunisia buys soft wheat, durum and barley in tender
- The soft wheat was believed to have been bought in two consignments of 25,000 tonnes for shipment in October.
PARIS: Tunisia's state grains agency has initially purchased an estimated 50,000 tonnes of soft milling wheat, 75,000 tonnes of barley and 25,000 tonnes of durum in an international tender which closed on Thursday, European traders said.
The soft wheat was believed to have been bought in two consignments of 25,000 tonnes for shipment in October.
The price paid was $225.95 a tonne cost and freight included (C&F) for the first, and $226.87 C&F for the second, traders said.
The durum was sold in one consignment of 25,000 tonnes at $321.20 a tonne C&F for shipment in October.
For barley, Tunisia is said to have paid between $204.99 and $207.14 a tone C&F for three consignments of 25,000 tonnes each.
