imageThe second Day of the first Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand, didnt end well for the visitors after Misbah men went all out on a meager score of 133, owing to a good bowling display from New Zealanders and bad shots and timing from the Pakistani batsmen.

However, the day was not all bleak for the Pakistani camp, as the team celebrated history as captain Misbah marked his 50th Test match as a captain, the most by any Pakistani.

Misbah ul Haq became the captain of the country, during Pakistani cricket worst times when it was dealing with allegations of spot fixing, while no international team wanted to tour the country.

imageimageMisbah rise to become Pakistan most experienced and successful captain is nothing short of something extraordinary, Misbah ul Haq is a tale of grit and tenacity to say the least. Under his captaincy Pakistan won 24 Test matches lost 14 and drew 11, with win-loss ratio of 0.565 under his belt.

But the biggest achievement of his career was to make Pakistan the number-one Test ranked side, which it became for the first time in its history since the current rankings system was introduced, back in 2003.

Misbah has also become the most successful Test captain from Asia after he led Pakistan to 10th series win against West Indies, surpassing MS Dhoni and Saurav Ganguly.
