imageKARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf's (PTI) sitting member of Sindh Assembly, Hafeezuddin on Friday joined newly formed Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), led by former City Mayor Syed Mustafa Kamal.

At a press conference along with PSP Chief Syed Mustafa Kamal, the PTI leader also announced to resign from Provincial Assembly's seat. Hafeezuddin said he had decided to join PSP to better serve Karachi and the country.

Karachi was facing many social and economic problems including poor system of water supply.

He paid tribute to Syed Mustafa Kamal for rising up for the rights of the poor and depressed segment of society.

He was also critical over the opposition parties in Sindh Assembly for their failure to play due role as watch dog and press the government for providing better services to the people, and for development and increasing trade and economic activities in the province.

Hafeez was of the view that PTI Chief Imran Khan was being misguided by certain elements in the party ranks.

PSP Chief Syed Mustafa Kamal welcomed estranged PTI leader.

He said the people from all over the country were in contact with PSP leadership and a big number including politicians would join his party soon. He pledged that PSP leadership would stick to its ideology and move forward.
