imageLAHORE: Awami National Party (ANP) General Secretary Ahsaan Wyne on Monday advised PTI leadership to abandon its protest programme against the government.

"The country cannot succumb to adventurism any more. Overwhelming majority of masses has already rejected politics of sit-ins and protests," he added. Talking to APP, he said, the country was facing complexed challenges and current national situation demands that every political party should play its due role in steering it away from crises.

He said PTI's agitation programme has damaged national economy and the sit-ins and protests held so far inflicted a loss of Rs 100 billion to the national kitty during last two months.

He said all opposition parties in the parliament had supported Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the larger national interest.

Ahsan said that PTI leadership must review and given up its protest programme, to come at the table for dialogue, and thus find amicable solution of issues
