Armed forces chiefs visit ISI headquarters

  • During the visit, comprehensive briefing was given to military leadership on regional security issues with special focus on situation of LoC and Jammu Kashmir

(Karachi) The leadership of the three Armed Forces and the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff have visited the ISI headquarters, DG ISPR stated on Tuesday.

According to ISPR, “Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi and Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan visited HQs ISI. Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid, DG ISI received the CJCSC and Services Chiefs at Directorate General ISI.”

DG ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed received Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza and Services Chiefs.

The ISPR statement added, "General Nadeem Raza, #CJCSC, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, #COAS, Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi, #CNS and Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, #CAS visited HQ #ISI."

During the visit, comprehensive briefing was given to military leadership on regional security issues with special focus on situation of LOC & IOJ&K. The statement said, "CJCSC & Services Chiefs appreciated tireless efforts of ISI for National Security & expressed satisfaction over professional preparedness."

Meanwhile, a civilian suffered injuries after Indian Army troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC), a statement issued by DG ISPR stated.

The incident occured in Bagsar sector.

The DG ISPR maintained,"Indian Army troops initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation in #Bagsar Sector along #LOC targeting civil population. Due to indiscriminate fire of Indian troops, an innocent civilian Babar Hussain, resident of Mehtika village got injured."
