Raw sugar prices ease, coffee and cocoa climb

October raw sugar was down 0.13 cent, or 1.1%, at 11.90 cents per lb by 1425 GMT.
The market continued to draw support from low exchange stocks, which remain around a 20-year low. *December New York cocoa was up $15, or 0.6%, at $2,577 a tonne.

Brazil's sugar production up 16pc; ethanol sales down 13pc

Brazilian mills continue to prioritize sugar production at the expense of ethanol, since the sweetener is currently providing higher financial returns.
Ethanol sales are lagging last year's levels. Mills sold 2.69 billion liters in August, 13% less on a year-on-year basis.

The benchmark palm oil contract for November delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange closed down 2 ringgit.
Crude palm oil output rose 3.07% to a two-month high of 1.86 million tonnes, MPOB said.

Oil prices fall as growing U.S. stockpiles signal bumpy demand recovery

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures fell 24 cents, or 0.63%, to $37.81 a barrel at 0417 GMT, after climbing 3.5% on Wednesday.
Brent crude futures dropped 17 cents, or 0.42% to $40.62 a barrel, after rising 2.5% on Wednesday.
