SOFTS-Raw sugar climbs to near 3-month peak as funds buy

July raw sugar was up 0.22 cents, or 1.8pc, at 12.24 cents per lb by 1354 GMT after peaking at 12.27 cents, the highest level for the front month since March 11.

EU 2019/20 soft wheat exports at 32.32 million tonnes, up 65pc

EU 2019/20 barley exports had reached 7.0 million tonnes, up 65pc from the year-earlier period, while EU 2019/20 maize imports stood at 18.70 million tonnes, down 17pc.

Soymeal imports so far in 2019/20 were at 16.87 million tonnes, up 2pc, while palm oil imports were down 11pc at 5.35 million tonnes.

Ivory Coast 2019/20 cocoa port arrivals seen at 1.851mn T by June 7

About 11,000 tonnes of beans were delivered to Abidjan port and 20,000 tonnes to San Pedro between June 1 to June 7 for a total of 31,000 tonnes, down from 33,000 during the same week last season.

Russian wheat prices rise, smaller crop expected in one region

Russia exported 35.4 million tonnes of grain between July 1 last year and June 4, down 14pc from the year-earlier period, SovEcon said. Of this, wheat exports accounted for 30.3 million tonnes.
