US MIDDAY: Palladium drops; gold subdued

Palladium slumped more than 5% on Friday, erasing more than $100 per ounce in the session, as investors booked profits following a strong record run, while gold prices were subdued as investors remained on the sidelines ahead of the holiday season.

Positive trade vibes push copper towards fifth weekly gain

Copper hit a seven-month high on Friday and was set for a fifth straight weekly gain after a US-China trade deal dispelled some worries over the health of the global economy, though it retreated from the day's peak as the dollar firmed.
