LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Tuesday as it shed 5.52 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 3,532.10 and closed at 3,526.58 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 907,100 shares to close against previous turnover of 1.119 million shares, showing a downward slide of 212,036 shares. While, out of the total 77 active scrips only 15 moved up, 41 remained equal and 21 shed values.
Pakistan Oil Fields Limited, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Habib Bank Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 4.33, Rs 2.83 and Rs 1.68 respectively.
National Bank of Pakistan, Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim and Engro Polymer and Chemical Limited lost their per share value by Re 0.77, Re 0.40 and Re 0.35 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Maple Leaf Cement Factory with 186,000 shares, NIB Bank Limited with 149,000 shares and Fatima Fertilizer Company with 121,000 shares.
