Saudi Arabia to begin easing restrictions from May 31

• Kingdom will entirely ease restrictions from June 21.
• However, Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages will remain suspended until further notice.

After a lockdown of more than two months, Saudi Arabia will start easing restrictions imposed due to coronavirus, this Sunday.

Starting this week, the 24-hour curfew will be reduced to 3 pm-6 am countrywide. Bans on domestic travel, holding prayers in mosques will be lifted.  Employees will also be allowed to return to their workplace.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), gathering of more than 50 people will remain banned.

The kingdom lift curfew entirely across the country on June 21, with the exception of Mecca. However, Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages will remain suspended until further notice, the SPA reported.
