 CHICAGO: Spot basis offers for US soymeal were mostly unchanged in both the rail and truck markets on Friday, dealers said.

* Demand was light.

* Most end users had already placed orders for March and had plenty of soymeal on hand, an Indiana dealer said.

* On the export front, potential buyers for barges headed to the US Gulf were showing interest but were asking for prices well below the offers that suppliers had posted, a trader said.

* The FOB market showed a similar pattern.

* CIF market bids for barges loaded in March firmed by $1 per ton.

* Although the truck basis was mostly steady offers rose by $1 per ton in Mankato, Minnesota.

* At 11:13 a.m. CST (1713 GMT), Chicago Board of Trade May soymeal futures were down $2.80 at $303.20 a ton.
