CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade corn futures declined on Friday on technical selling, bucking support from decent weekly US export sales and an upturn in soybean futures, traders said.
* CBOT December corn settled down 2-3/4 cents at $3.64-3/4 a bushel, right at its 50-day moving average.
* For the week, the December contract fell 5 cents a bushel or 1.35 percent, its second straight weekly decline.
* The USDA reported export sales of US corn in the latest week at 893,900 tonnes (old and new crop years combined), toward the high end of trade expectations for 500,000 to 900,000 tonnes.
* Traders await fresh news as the US harvest winds down and planting continues in South America.
