Pakistan pacer Wahab Riaz is confident that he would be a different bowler as the bowler says he aims to make comeback in Pakistan team in the Tri-series.

Riaz, who played his last game against Sri Lanka back in October 2017, underwent a surgery for sinus issue. "I had this sinus issue for the past 10-12 years and this is making me struggle to stay fit," Wahab said in an interview. "I have done the surgery now during the time I had off and I am feeling much better now. I had to rest for 2-3 weeks," he added.

Speaking about his comeback in the side he said, "My task now is to make a comeback to international cricket and to represent Pakistan. I am now looking forward to the next series and working towards it to make my mark on it."

He revealed that he will playing County Cricket for Derbyshire this year and he made commitment to them that will starts from July 2. "My aim is to try and be selected for the Tri-Series in Zimbabwe. If that does not happen, I will fly to the UK to play for Derbyshire," he said while revealing his plans.

"The whole thing is about fitness and I would like to play for Pakistan in all three formats of the game," he added. Riaz, however, admitted that he did not perform well in the Champions Trophy and played only one Test match for Pakistan after that, which was against Sri Lanka. "I know a lot of people were unhappy with me about my performances [but] I have been working very hard for the past year."

Giving his views about his Pakistan Super League (PSL) performance, he said, "So as you saw in the PSL, there was a hunger inside me to restore my status [in the Pakistan team]. When I come back into the team, God Willing, I will be a different bowler."
