Miftah appointed BoI chairman

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has appointed Karachi-based businessman Miftah Ismail as Chairman Board of Investment on an honorary basis, says a notification issued by the Cabinet Division. Miftah Ismail belongs to the Candyland Group. He has doctorate in Public Finance and political economy from Wharton School of Business, in University Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia.
He is a visiting faculty member at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA). Earlier, Miftah Ismail had served in the Punjab Board of Investment under Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. And, currently he was elected Chairman Sui Southern Gas Company and appointed Director on Board of Directors Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
