ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed five terrorists allegedly linked to Indian-backed Fitna al-Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Washuk district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out on the night of October 12-13 following intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists in the area.
Security forces successfully busted a terrorist hideout through swift and decisive action, killing five terrorists and recovering a cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives.
The ISPR said sanitisation operations were underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area.
It reaffirmed that the counterterrorism campaign under Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, would continue at full pace to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
