KARACHI: The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) has announced its support for the Businessmen Group (BMG) in the upcoming Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) elections, saying it has full confidence in the leadership decision of the United Business Group (UBG).

PPDA Chairman Malik Khuda Bakhsh, Vice Chairman Tariq Hasan, Anwar Kamal, Malik Sher Khan and other association leaders expressed support for the decision of the UBG leadership. The association said its members would vote for BMG candidates in the Karachi Chamber elections in accordance with the directives of UBG Patron-in-Chief S.M. Tanveer, President Zubair Tufail, Sindh Region President Khalid Tawab and other UBG leaders.

Malik Khuda Bakhsh said the PPDA had consistently worked to resolve issues faced by petroleum dealers, while BMG Chairman Zubair Motiwala and his team had raised issues concerning Karachi’s business community.

He expressed confidence that the Karachi Chamber, working together with the PPDA, would help address the issues confronting petroleum dealers.

Khuda Bakhsh said the challenges faced by petroleum dealers and the wider business community were interconnected and could be addressed through mutual consensus and coordination with the government and regulatory authorities.

The PPDA chairman stressed the need for solidarity among business organisations to pursue solutions to issues affecting the business community.
