LAHORE: The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) on Wednesday held a ballot for the allotment of a 20-kanal hospital plot located in Chaharbagh Phase-I.

Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique was the chief guest on this occasion, while RUDA CEO Imran Amin, COO Mansoor Janjua and senior officials of RUDA were also present.

On this occasion, RUDA CEO Imran Amin and COO Mansoor Janjua briefed the Minister on the initiative and the transparent process adopted for the allotment of the hospital site. A total of seven hospitals were shortlisted for the allotment of the 20-kanal plot after completion of the prescribed evaluation and selection process.

To ensure complete transparency and impartiality, the final balloting was conducted through the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

Through the computerised balloting process, Sahara for Life Trust was declared the successful winner and will be allotted the 20-kanal hospital plot in Chaharbagh Phase-I, subject to fulfilment of all applicable terms and conditions.

Speaking on this occasion, the Punjab Health Minister appreciated RUDA’s transparent and technology-driven approach towards the allotment of the hospital site.

He emphasised the importance of developing modern healthcare facilities to cater to the growing needs of the population and appreciated RUDA’s efforts in facilitating quality healthcare infrastructure within its development areas.

The RUDA leadership highlighted that the provision of dedicated healthcare facilities is an important component of its broader development vision. The establishment of the hospital in Chaharbagh Phase-I is expected to contribute significantly towards improving access to quality healthcare services for residents of the area and surrounding communities.

The transparent balloting process conducted through PITB reflects RUDA’s commitment to merit, transparency, accountability and the use of technology in public-sector development initiatives, they added.
