ISLAMABAD: Russian Ambassador to Pakistan, Albert Khorev, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday.
The DPM/FM appreciated the positive momentum in bilateral ties and stressed the importance of continued cooperation in key areas, as well as sustained high-level exchanges, to further strengthen Pakistan-Russia relations.
Regional developments also figured in the discussion. The DPM/FM underscored Pakistan’s consistent view that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only way forward for resolving differences and promoting regional peace and stability.
Separately, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received French Ambassador Nicolas Galey for a farewell call.
The DPM/FM congratulated Ambassador Galey on completion of his assignment and appreciated his contribution to further strengthening Pakistan-France relations.
DPM/FM emphasized the need to further expand bilateral cooperation and stressed the importance of sustained high-level exchanges, dialogue and engagement on bilateral and regional matters of mutual interest.
Ambassador Galey thanked the DPM/FM and the Government of Pakistan for the support extended to him during his tenure.
