KARACHI: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) marked Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony at its head office, according to a company statement.
PSO Chief Executive Officer Jawad Ahmed Cheema led the ceremony, which was attended by company employees, their families and guests.
The event was held under the theme “79 Years of Pakistan. One Spirit. One PSO.” and highlighted national pride, unity and the company’s stated commitment to serving the country.
As part of the Independence Day activities, PSO also organised a tree plantation drive. The company said the initiative was aimed at supporting its focus on operational excellence, innovation and sustainability.
Students of the Karachi Vocational Training Centre also participated in the celebrations and presented a patriotic performance.
According to the statement, PSO’s leadership reiterated the company’s commitment to contributing to Pakistan’s progress while maintaining a focus on responsibility, inclusivity and national service.
