PESHAWAR: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the Livestock & Dairy Development Department (Extension), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Bank of Khyber (BOK) for the procurement and distribution of motorbikes to unemployed Veterinary Graduates (DVMs) under a cost-recovery mechanism.
The initiative Expansion of Veterinary Health Services through Provision of Mobility (Motor Bikes) to unemployed veterinary graduates (DVM) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, aims to enhance mobility and facilitate the delivery of veterinary health services across the province.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khurshid Khattak attended the MoU signing ceremony and appreciated the initiative, stating that the provision of mobility to unemployed veterinary graduates would not only create opportunities for young professionals but also strengthen veterinary services at the grassroots level.
He said the collaboration between the Livestock & Dairy Development Department and the Bank of Khyber was a positive step towards improving service delivery, supporting qualified veterinary graduates and expanding access to livestock and animal healthcare services in the province.
Officials from the Livestock & Dairy Development Department and the Bank of Khyber were also present on the occasion. The participants expressed their commitment to ensuring effective implementation of the initiative and achieving its objectives.
The MoU marks an important step towards strengthening veterinary healthcare services, improving professional mobility and contributing to the livestock sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
