HAMBURG: South Korea’s Korea Feed Association has issued an international tender to purchase up to 69,000 metric tons of animal feed corn to be sourced from optional origins, European traders said on Tuesday.

The deadline for price submissions in the tender from the KFA’s Busan section is also Tuesday, August 11, they said. The corn was sought for arrival in South Korea around November 30.

One consignment of between 50,000 and 69,000 tons is sought with the seller free to offer any volume in this range.

Corn rebounds as heat dents US ratings, soybeans down

If sourced from the US Pacific Northwest coast, shipment is sought between October 22 and November 10, from the US Gulf between October 2 and October 21, from South America between September 27 and October 16 or from South Africa between October 12 and October 31.

Price offers are sought both in outright terms per ton cost and freight (c&f) or at a premium over Chicago December corn futures.‑Reuters
