LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) will include commercial plots in LDA Avenue One and LDA City Business Bay in the upcoming draw, and interested persons can submit their applications until September 2.
This was disclosed during a meeting that was chaired by LDA Director General Tahir Farooq on Friday to finalise budget allocations, streamline urban planning, and fast-track major infrastructure initiatives across the provincial capital. The meeting also reviewed town planning, auctions, engineering, and the status of LDA City.
On this occasion, LDA Director Finance Kashif Imran presented a briefing on the proposed budget planning for the next financial year. The Town Planning Section provided updates on revenue targets and recovery campaigns, while the Director of Auctions detailed the applications for the upcoming draw.
It was also disclosed in the meeting that commercial plots in LDA Avenue One and LDA City Business Bay have been put up for auction in the draw, alongside 5 marla residential plots in Johar Town.
The focus for development work in this financial year is LDA City, with the LDA DG emphasising the need to accelerate development efforts there. He also directed the creation of a governance model to enhance the delivery of basic services to citizens in LDA Avenue One, Jubilee Town, and LDA Enclave Scheme. Additionally, the DG LDA urged the Town Planning Wing to increase the campaign against illegal construction and commercialisation.
He reiterated the importance of ensuring SOP compliance during construction in the monsoon season and called for work to commence on other LDA schemes under the Sustainable Development Model within the current financial year.
The meeting was attended by Additional DG Headquarters, the Chief Town Planner, the Director of Auctions, the Director of Finance, the Director of Engineering, and other officials.
