BOA meeting deliberates on strengthening economic landscape
ISLAMABAD: The 10th meeting of the Board of Approvals (BOA) for Special Economic Zones (SEZs) was convened at the Board of Investment (BOI) to deliberate on legislative amendments, operational strategies, and key development decisions aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s economic landscape.
The meeting was co-chaired by the Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh; Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Industries & Production, Haroon Akhtar; and Minister of State for Finance, Bilal Azhar Kiyani.
The session was attended by distinguished dignitaries and senior leadership, including Senator Saleem Mandviwala, Secretary BOI and SIFC Jamil Qureshi, Coordinator to the Prime Minister Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Secretary Law, as well as senior officials representing the Board of Investment (BOI), Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Ministry of Industries & Production, Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of Law and Justice.
The meeting reflected government’s continued commitment to enhancing the performance of SEZs and fostering a conducive environment for investment, industrial growth, and economic development in Pakistan.
