KARACHI: The fourth annual National Islamic Economic Forum (NIEF) Conference 2026, organised by the Saylani Welfare International Trust and the Saylani School of Business and Islamic Leadership (SBIL), will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at a local hotel in Karachi.
The conference will be addressed by Minister of State and Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority Bilal Saqib; Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan Jameel Ahmad; Governor of Sindh Nihal Hashmi; Patron-in-Chief Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman; Convener and Founder-Chairman of Saylani Welfare International Trust Maulana Muhammad Bashir Farooq Qadri, as well as prominent religious scholars, economists, bankers, financial experts, business leaders and industrialists.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will address the conference through a video link.
The conference will highlight the growing importance of Islamic finance and explore the role of Islamic economic principles, innovation and sustainable practices in Pakistan’s long-term economic development.
Experts will also address key subjects, including digital currency and its significance in modern business transactions. Distinguished professionals and industry leaders will participate in panel discussions on emerging economic and financial trends.
