LAHORE: The Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) to enrol BISP beneficiaries and their family members in PSDF’s vocational training programmes across Punjab, free of cost.
The agreement was signed by PSDF CEO Ahmed Khan and BISP Director General of Complementary Initiatives Adeela Bokhari.
Under the deal, BISP will use its National Socio-Economic Registry, digital portal, and local offices to identify and verify eligible candidates, while PSDF will reserve training quotas and cover costs, materials, and stipends.
Graduates will receive certificates recognized by NAVTTC and aligned with HEC standards.
Ahmed Khan said the partnership connects social protection with skills development, helping beneficiaries move from dependency to economic participation.
Adeela Bokhari said it builds on BISP’s Benazir Hunarmand Programme, opening pathways to entrepreneurship and dignified employment, particularly for women.
The initiative aims to convert social assistance into sustainable, long-term economic empowerment.
