The government raised the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs2.24 per litre while cutting the petrol price by Re0.75 per litre, effective from Thursday, July 30.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Wednesday revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
The price of Motor Spirit (petrol) was decreased by Re0.75 per litre, taking it from Rs335.81 to Rs335.06 per litre.
The price of HSD went up by Rs2.24 per litre, rising from Rs388.38 to Rs390.62 per litre.
The new prices will remain in effect until tomorrow, in line with the government’s ongoing practice of adjusting fuel prices based on international oil markets and other cost factors.
