KARACHI: Election for 30 managing committee seats of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) for the year 2026-28 will be held on September 26, 2026.
According to the election schedule, announced by the election committee, the election of president, senior vice president and vice president will be held on September 30, 2026.
As per the KCCI notification the elections (2026-28) for the 30 vacant seats of the executive committee (15 seats in corporate category and 15 seats in associate category) will be held on 26th September 2026.
KCCI members who have completed at least two years (24 months) of their valid membership of Karachi Chamber as on the date of announcement of the Election Schedule and have also renewed their membership by April 20, 2026, will be eligible to cast vote.
Proprietor, partner or director of the member firm or company or any representative not less than the rank of general manager, authorised by the board of directors of public limited company or a multinational company, shall be entitled to cast his/her vote at the time of election. Only if his/her name has already been registered with Secretary General and his/her name appears in voters’ list.
Final list of voters shall be displayed on KCCI website by 29th August, 2026. Subject to incorporation of all changes, this list shall be deemed to be the final list of voters who are eligible to cast vote and contest as a candidate in the elections.
Nomination papers will be issued to valid voters only on request in writing on the member’s letter head and received during office hours with effect from 31st August, 2026.
Final list of voters shall be provided to each contesting candidate. Each candidate contesting in the elections for executive committee shall be required to deposit pay order of Rs 100,000 as election expense (non-refundable) along with his nomination paper.
Issuance of Agenda Notice for Annual General Meeting on 2nd September 2026. Last date for receiving nomination papers is 3rd September.
Last date for withdrawal of nomination to avoid appearance of candidate’s name on the ballot paper is 21st September. Polling to be held on 26th September at KCCI building, Aiwan-e-Tijarat Road, Karachi.
Any person elected as member of executive committee, shall send his/her nomination to the Election Commission for election as an office-bearer, on 28th September. His/her nomination to be duly proposed and seconded by an elected executive committee member and signed by the candidate.
The Election commission will scrutinize the nominations for election of office-bearers and issue the list of candidates on 29th September, 2026.
Election of office bearers/Annual General Meeting election of the office-bearers will be held on 30th September, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
