Parts of Karachi received light to moderate rainfall on Saturday evening as monsoon activity continued to affect the city, bringing cooler temperatures and gusty winds to several neighbourhoods.
According to reports, light to moderate showers were recorded in areas including Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Malir, Liyari, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Shah Faisal Town, Hassan Square, Gurumandir, Liaquatabad, and others.
Earlier during the day, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast rain and thunderstorms across several parts of Sindh, warning of possible urban flooding in low-lying areas due to moderate to heavy rainfall.
According to the Met Office, a low-pressure system over southwest Rajasthan and adjoining areas continues to persist, while strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating southern and central parts of Pakistan.
