More allottees join ‘Landhi Cottage Industries case’: trade leader

KARACHI: The All Pakistan Organisation of Small Traders and Cottage Industries Karachi saw a significant development on Monday as new allottees formally joined the Landhi Cottage Industries case during a signing ceremony at Jamiyat-ul-Falah Hall in Saddar.

Mehmood Hamid, President of the organisation and Chairman of the Landhi Cottage Industries Action Committee, termed the inclusion of third-list participants as a major milestone in their ongoing struggle.

“Conspiracies and negative propaganda have now lost their momentum,” Hamid declared during his address to the gathering. “Allottees are rapidly joining our case, and this growing trust represents a crucial turning point toward our success.”

Hamid made the committee’s position unequivocally clear: “Our stance is non-negotiable. We will not vacate our cottage industry land. We will establish the Landhi Cottage Industry on its designated land. We will accept neither alternative land nor any monetary compensation.”

The ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman Muhammad Rizwan, Senior Member Hafiz Muhammad Shaukat, Finance Secretary Ashraf Ali, Absar Ahmed, Syed Babar Ali Shah, Abdullah Siddiqui, Tariq Iftikhar, Mohebullah, Abdul Rehman, Nadeem, Hidayatullah Amiri, Hamza Iqbal, and others.

Hamid expressed gratitude for the team’s efforts, noting that the Action Committee has emerged as a formidable force. “By the grace of Allah, this team will not rest until Landhi Cottage Industries is successfully established,” he said.

Vice Chairman Muhammad Rizwan highlighted the inclusion of women among the new allottees joining the movement. “This unity will certainly yield results,” he said. “We will defeat conspiracies and secure our rights from those attempting to suppress them.”
