KARACHI: President of the North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (NKATI), Faisal Moez Khan has urged the government to project Pakistan’s stance more effectively Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) at the international level.

Speaking to the media during a Haleem gathering at his residence, he said that our case regarding the IWT, international water laws, and the water rights of lower riparian states to be presented forcefully at upcoming global conferences to ensure the protection of the country’s legitimate water rights.

He described India’s proposed 7,250-megawatt hydropower network project as an act of “water aggression” against Pakistan.

He said that India should respect international agreements and laws instead of escalating tensions in the region, warning that using water as a political weapon could endanger not only regional peace but also the future of millions of people.

Condemning the terrorist attack on the Pakistan Rangers headquarters in Karachi, Khan described the sacrifice of the Rangers personnel who embraced martyrdom as unforgettable.
