LCCI chief, Netherlands envoy discuss trade cooperation
LAHORE: President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, and Robert Jan Siegert, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Pakistan, discussed trade and economic cooperation between the two sides, at a dinner hosted by the latter.
The occasion provided an opportunity for meaningful discussions on further strengthening Pakistan-Netherlands relations and exploring new avenues for trade, investment and economic cooperation.
LCCI President exchanged views on enhancing collaboration in sectors of mutual interest and underscored the importance of closer engagement between the business communities of the two countries.
Faheem highlighted the immense potential for expanding bilateral trade and reaffirmed the LCCI’s commitment to promoting stronger economic and commercial ties with the Netherlands. He said that increased cooperation in areas such as agriculture, renewable energy, water management, logistics and technology would contribute to sustainable growth and prosperity.
Ambassador Robert Jan Siegert reaffirmed the Netherlands’ commitment to further strengthening its longstanding partnership with Pakistan and expressed confidence that enhanced private sector interaction would lead to greater investment and mutually beneficial opportunities.
The meeting also underscored the importance of facilitating direct linkages between Pakistani and Dutch business communities through delegations, B2B engagements, and participation in trade exhibitions.
The need for improved market access, regulatory cooperation, and investment-friendly frameworks was also highlighted as key to unlocking long-term commercial partnerships.
