KARACHI: President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Atif Ikram Sheikh has welcomes fixed tax scheme for small traders.
He expressed that the fixed tax scheme will play an important role in documenting the economy. A simple and transparent tax system is the need of the hour for the business community, said Atif Ikram Sheikh.
He said that the scheme will reduce business costs and tax disputes. The fixed tax scheme will provide relief to small and medium-sized businesses, said Atif Ikram Sheikh.
This scheme will help in promoting trust between the government and the business community, he added. The fixed tax system is expected to increase the tax net and improve revenues, Atif Ikram Sheikh expressed hope.
The FPCCI will continue to support business-friendly reforms, said Atif Ikram Sheikh. Simplicity in the tax system is essential for sustainable economic growth and the government should ensure a consultation process so that the scheme brings positive results, Atif Ikram Sheikh commented.
