US condemns Quetta terror attack

ISLAMABAD: The United States on Sunday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Quetta that killed at least 14 people and injured 20 others.

In a statement posted on X, the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad said the banned outfit Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), also a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organisation, has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The embassy expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extended condolences to the families of the victims.

It says that the people of Pakistan deserve to live in security and peace, free from the threat of terrorist violence.
