Medical, dentistry institutions: Dar for enhancing transparency, education quality
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting on Thursday on the recognition of medical, dentistry, and alternative medicine educational institutions.
The meeting reviewed existing regulatory frameworks and discussed measures to enhance transparency, standardization, and quality of education across medical educational institutions. DPM/FM emphasised strengthening accreditation processes and ensuring alignment with international best practices. It was agreed that the meeting will be reconvened next week to continue deliberations after recommendations from the Ministry of Health and other relevant stakeholders.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of Climate Change and National Health and Regulations, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, secretary National Health and Regulations, and other senior officials from the concerned ministries.
