ISLAMABAD: Members of parliament from Balochistan called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday, where discussions focused on the overall political situation in Pakistan—particularly in Balochistan—as well as ongoing development projects in the province.

During the meeting, the president reiterated Pakistan’s firm resolve to thwart the malicious designs of terrorist elements operating with foreign backing across the country. He emphasized that the state remains fully committed to ensuring peace, stability, and sustained development in Balochistan.

“Efforts for peace and development in Balochistan are continuing with full force,” President Zardari stated, underscoring the government’s determination to address challenges facing the province.

The meeting was attended by several prominent political figures, including Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Sanaullah Zehri, and Jam Kamal Khan, along with other parliamentarians and representatives from the region.

Participants exchanged views on political developments and highlighted the importance of continued collaboration to promote stability and economic progress in Balochistan.
