Governor praises president, PM, COAS: ‘Pakistan emerges as peaceful state in world’
LAHORE: Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the expression of confidence of the US and Iran in the Pakistani leadership is a matter of pride.
“The diplomatic efforts of the President, PM and Field Marshal saved the world from a major disaster. Today, Pakistan has emerged as a peaceful and responsible state in the world,” the governor said while talking to party delegations and Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Bilal Yasin, and Provincial Minister for Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, here on Monday at the Governor House Lahore.
The governor paid tribute to the civil and military leadership for their efforts in negotiating a permanent ceasefire between Iran and the United States, saying that bringing countries that were not ready for negotiations to the negotiating table is a great success.
The governor said that the United States and Iran have declared a ceasefire by expressing confidence in the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Field Marshal Asim Munir. At present, the respect and honour of Pakistan has increased all over the world, he said and noted that amidst the current scenario, foreign investors are exhibiting a willingness to invest in Pakistan. “We have to strengthen our economy by providing a conducive environment for foreign investors,” he said.
