The Met Office in its report said a westerly wave is expected to enter Balochistan on Sunday. Under influence of this weather system, it said, wind-thunderstorm and rain with few moderate to isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely to hit Sukkur, Kashmore and Ghotki districts on Monday.

“Thunderstorm and rain of light to moderate intensity are likely in Jamshoro, Dadu, Kambar Shahdadkot, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Mityari, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal districts and Karachi Division on Monday,” it further added.

The weather department advised that windstorm and hailstorm with lightning may damage weak structures such as electric poles, bill boards and solar panels during the forecast period.

Hailstorm/windstorm may damage standing crops as well, it added.
