Armed Forces strike target 6 terror bases in Kabul, Nangarhar: Tarar

  • Says all targeting was done with precision only at those infrastructures which were being used by Afghan Taliban regime to support its multiple terror proxies including Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said Tuesday that the Armed Forces successfully carried out precision airstrikes on the night of 16 March, targeting Afghan Taliban regime terrorism sponsoring military installations in Kabul and Nangarhar.

In a post on X, the minister said that all targeting was done with precision only at those infrastructures which were being used by Afghan Taliban regime to support its multiple terror proxies including Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan.

He further said that all targeting was done with precision only at those infrastructures which were being used by Afghan Taliban regime to support its multiple terror proxies including Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan.

“Technical support infrastructure and ammunition storage facilities at two locations in Kabul were effectively destroyed.

The visible secondary detonations after the strikes clearly indicate the presence of large ammunition depots,” Tarar said.

The minister further said that the Pakistan Armed Forces also struck four Afghan Taliban regime terrorism sponsoring military sites in Nangarhar, destroying associated logistics, ammunition, and technical infrastructure.

“False claims made by the propagandists Taliban regime cannot befool the Afghans and the World from their heinous actions supporting and sponsoring terrorism in the region,” the post said.

Tensions increased between Pakistan and Afghanistan, culminating in the launch of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq by Islamabad after unprovoked cross-border firing from the Afghan side.

Tensions escalated following a series of security incidents, with Islamabad repeatedly expressing concern over terrorist groups allegedly operating from Afghan soil.

On March 15, the minister had shared that 684 Khawarij and Afghan Taliban personnel were killed and over 912 others injured in the operation.

229 tanks, armoured vehicles, and artillery guns were also destroyed, he said.

Moreover, 252 posts were destroyed; 44 other posts were captured and subsequently demolished.

73 terrorist support infrastructure locations across Afghanistan were effectively neutralised via air operations, he said.
