ISLAMABAD: All field offices of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) would remain open on Friday and restriction of work-from-home would not apply to FBR Headquarters and its field formations.
According to a notification of the FBR issued on Wednesday, in pursuance of the decision of the Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of Conservation and Additional Austerity Measures during its meeting, all the Members of FBR HQ, Directors General and heads of field formations are hereby informed that all the offices of FBR HQ and its field formations shall continue to remain open on Fridays; and the restriction of work-from-home for up to 50 percent of staff on alternate days basis, earlier notified by the Cabinet Division, shall not apply to FBR HQ and its field formations.
All the Members of FBR HQ, Directors General and Heads of Field Formations are directed to strictly adhere to the said instructions, the FBR added.
