KARACHI: Akhuwat has disbursed more than Rs410 billion in interest-free loans with a remarkable 99.98 percent repayment rate, its Founder and Chairman Dr. Amjad Saqib said while addressing an Iftar dinner at Marina Club, DHA Karachi.

He reiterated Akhuwat’s mission to uplift underprivileged communities across Pakistan without discrimination.

The event highlighted Akhuwat’s impact through inspiring success stories of beneficiaries of Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance as well as students from Akhuwat’s girls’ and boys’ colleges.

Addressing the audience, Dr Amjad Saqib emphasised that Akhuwat’s work extends beyond microfinance and includes initiatives aimed at promoting education and social welfare. He noted that the organisation provides free quality education along with boarding and lodging facilities at its residential colleges in Chakwal for girls and Kasur for boys.

Danish Aman, Chief Patron of Akhuwat Council of Patrons Karachi, delivered the vote of thanks and appreciated the continued support of donors and well-wishers.
