KARACHI: On the special instructions of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) made arrangements for water supply and maintained drainage across the city on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat.
According to KWSC Spokesman, special measures have been taken to keep citizens safe from any kind of problems on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat.
In this regard, CEO Water Corporation Ahmed Ali Siddiqui said that water supply is continuing uninterruptedly throughout the city, while special arrangements have been made around cemeteries, shrines, places of worship and mosques.
He said that all complaints received regarding drainage around cemeteries and places of worship have been completely redressed. The uninterrupted water supply will also continue to pour water on graves on the night of Shab-e-Barat. For this purpose, special arrangements have been made through water tankers so that citizens do not face water shortage.
Chief Operating Officer, Engineer Asadullah Khan said that hydrants have also been set up around the cemeteries to provide drinking water to the citizens.
