ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Monday notified a reduction of up to 5.90 percent in the price of imported RLNG for both gas utilities—Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL)—for December.
The regulator, which acts under the Policy Guidelines of the Federal Government, has notified revised Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices effective from December 1, 2025, showing mixed adjustments across transmission and distribution categories SNGPL and SSGCL.
OGRA holds public hearing to revise RLNG prices
According to the Ogra’s determination, SNGPL’s RLNG transmission price has slightly decreased from USD 11.4305/mmbtu in November to USD 10.9186/mmbtu in December, showing a reduction of 4.48 percent. Its distribution price has also been decreased from USD 12.3996/mmbtu to USD 11.8280/mmbtu, reflecting a decline of 4.61 percent.
For the SSGCL, both categories also show a downward revision. Its transmission price has decreased from USD 10.0652/mmbtu to USD 9.4741/mmbtu (up 5.87 percent), while the distribution price has gone down from USD 11.4520/mmbtu to USD 10.7767/mmbtu, marking a 5.90 percent decrease.
The Ogra stated that RLNG prices were reduced due to a decrease in its rates in December.
