KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 428,886 Tons of cargo comprising 145,976 Tons of import cargo and 102,910 Tons of export cargo during last 24hrs ending at 0700 Hours.
The total import cargo of 145,976 Tons comprised of 51,023 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 571 Tons of Bulk Cargo 6,158 Tons of Chickpeas, 7,158 Tons of Di Ammonium Phosphate and 81,207 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 102,910 Tons comprised of 52,390 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 404 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 8,168 Tons of Cement and 36,548 Tons of Clinkers and 5,400 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
There are four ships namely Oocl Atlanta, Ever Smart, X-Press Bardsey and Hg Hong Kong on Berth at Karachi Port Trust.
Five ships namely Hmm Promise, Melbourne Bridge, Pearl Ivy, Venus Triumph and GSF Giselle sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
Port Qasim
A total of thirteen ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, MSC Pratiti, Groton, Zekreet and Efe Mersin left the port on Tuesday, while three more ships, Navigator Leo, Al-Bert-P and Advantage Paradise are expected to sail on afternoon.
Cargo volume of 253,459 tonnes, comprising 207,863 tonnes imports cargo and 45,596 export cargo carried in 5,228 Containers (3,015 TEUs Imports & 2,213 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 10 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them five ships, GFS Giselle, KN Future, Talara, Elm Galaxy and Union Explorer carrying Container, Soya Bean Seed, Gasoline, Chemicals and Coal are expected to take berths at QICT, FAP, EVTL, FOTCO and PIBT on 9th December, 2025.
