KARACHI: Renowned artist and co-founder of Thar Carpets and Handicrafts, Ghayoor Ahmed, captivated visitors with his exceptional hand-embroidered cultural designs during the Sindh Craft Festival 2025, held from November 28 to 30. The three-day festival, organized by the Government of Sindh, brought together master artisans from across the province to celebrate Sindh’s rich and diverse heritage.
A highlight of the event was the visit by Chief Minister of Sindh, who toured various stalls and spent time appreciating the intricate craftsmanship displayed at Ghayoor Ahmed’s booth. The Chief Minister praised the artist’s dedication to preserving traditional Thari embroidery and promoting sustainable livelihoods for women artisans associated with the enterprise.
“Our mission is to empower rural women through the revival of indigenous crafts,” said Ghayoor Ahmed. “Festivals like these give artisans a platform to showcase their skills and connect with national and international audiences.”
