KARACHI: Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) continues indiscriminate crackdown against illegal constructions even on Saturday and Sunday, in compliance with the instructions by Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Director General SBCA Muzammil Hussain Halipoto.
During this year, action was taken against more than 1,858 illegal constructions.
Director General's notice on the news published in the media, the demolition team took action and stopped the ongoing work in Plot # B-96 Gulshan Faisal Bath Island and Plot # 192-C, PECHS Block- 2 and demolished the G+1 and second floors.
Work to demolish buildings declared extremely dangerous on four plots in the Lyari and Gizri areas is progressing rapidly.
The operations were carried out in the areas of District South, District Korangi, District Central and District East. Illegal extra floors, portions, shops and roofs were demolished.
It should be noted that all actions were categorized as violations of the map and land use.
