KARACH: Malik Khuda Bakhsh, CEO and Chairman of Malik Group of Companies, has predicted that the usage of electric vehicles (EVs) in Pakistan is expected to increase to 30 percent by 2030.

Speaking at a signing ceremony for an agreement between Malik Group and Lucky Petroleum Private Limited (LPPL), he highlighted that pollution-free transport is essential for the public, particularly in light of the growing trend of electric vehicles. He added that the installation of large-scale EV charging stations in Karachi is imminent.

The agreement, which focuses on installing EV charging equipment at 10 percent of Lucky Petroleum’s retail outlets, was signed by Malik Khuda Bakhsh and LPPL CEO Naseem Aqsar Abbasi.

Bakhsh emphasised that with the support of the Chinese investment company ADM Group, they have already begun installing EV charging equipment in Sindh to cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles.

Naseem Aqsar Abbasi remarked that LPPL’s focus is on providing superior quality and an exceptional experience for both retail and corporate clients.

"Our mission is to unlock Pakistan's energy potential responsibly and sustainably, contributing to economic prosperity and securing a brighter future for generations to come," he said.

He further emphasized LPPL’s commitment to ethical and sustainable business practices, stating that the partnership with Malik Group will bring tangible benefits to consumers. "We believe that true success is built on relationships, and our work with Malik Group will help further our goals of innovation, collaboration, and care in the energy sector," he added.
