Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday held a meeting with UK Minister of State for Trade Policy Sir Chris Bryant to discuss measures to further strengthen Pakistan-UK economic cooperation.
According to Pakistan’s High Commission in London, both sides emphasised the early operationalisation of the Pakistan-UK Trade Dialogue Mechanism and its three working groups to boost bilateral trade and investment.

The planning minister briefed the British side on Pakistan’s ongoing economic reforms, its potential in the information technology sector, and the government’s vision for sustainable and inclusive growth.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr Mohammad Faisal, also attended the meeting. He underscored the shared commitment of both countries to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, investment, and development.
