KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 147,393 tonnes of cargo comprising 101.562 tonnes of import cargo and 45,831 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 101,562 Tons comprised of 33,268 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 33,419 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 4,636 tonnes of (Dap), 2,603 tonnes of Sugar & 27,636 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 45,831 tonnes comprised of 34,829 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 160 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 5,606 tonnes of Cement, 2,236 tonnes of Rice & 3,000 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately, 07 ships namely, Ren Jian 19, Gfs Genesis, Rayhong, Tenaro, Rui Ning 2, Swan Lake & MT Sargodha berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, Konrad, X-Press Kohima, Yun Ding 19, P. Aliki, Hemma Bhum, Al Soor Ii & Ren Jian 19 sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of seven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a container carrier ‘MSC Daisy’ left the port on Tuesday morning, while two more ships, Seaspan Santos and Famiglia are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Cargo volume of 93,697 tonnes, comprising 47,848 tonnes imports cargo and 45,849 export cargo carried in 5,394 Containers (1,804 TEUs Imports & 2,697 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 08 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them a chemicals carrier ‘Fairchem Pathfinder & another containers ship ‘GFS Genesis’ are expected to take berths at EVTL and QICT on Tuesday 4th November, 2025.
