GWADAR: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) organized a training workshop on the Export Development Fund (EDF) at the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). The event was attended by Chamber President Jeehand Hoth, Secretary General Khalid Saif, Vice President Naeem Rasheed, renowned businessman Haji Abdul Basit, Nagman Abdul, and other prominent members of the local business community.

Speaking on the occasion, President Jeehand Hoth said that such training workshops are vital for empowering the business sector of Gwadar. He emphasized that the Gwadar Chamber, with the support of TDAP, is determined to promote local products, particularly the fish industry, at both national and international expos.

“Our fish industry has great potential and we are working to showcase it across the globe,” he added.

He further stated that special programmes will be organized in Punjab to highlight the uses and benefits of fish, which will help create awareness among the public and increase domestic demand. This, in turn, will provide greater opportunities for the fishermen and traders of Gwadar.

Other speakers, including Secretary General Khalid Saif, Vice President Naeem Rasheed, and Haji Abdul Basit, appreciated TDAP’s initiative and stressed the importance of linking Gwadar’s industries with national and global markets. They noted that the EDF scheme would serve as a valuable resource for local businesses to strengthen their export capacity.

The participants welcomed the workshop, calling it an important step toward economic growth in Gwadar, and urged for more such initiatives in the future.
