ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Wednesday expressed satisfaction over the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pakistan and Belarus to facilitate the employment of skilled Pakistani workers in various sectors in Belarus.

The prime minister made these remarks during a meeting with Belarusian Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakov and his delegation. This MoU is a result of agreements reached during Sharif’s recent visit to Belarus, which strengthened the friendly relations between the two countries.

Welcoming Minister Kubrakov to Pakistan, Sharif recalled his visit to Belarus earlier this year, where several agreements were signed across multiple sectors.

He also conveyed his best wishes to Belarusian President Aleksander Lukashenko and expressed hope for the President’s upcoming visit to Pakistan.

Kubrakov thanked the prime minister for the warm hospitality and extended President Lukashenko’s greetings.

He expressed his commitment to enhancing cooperation with Pakistan, especially in agriculture and industry.

During his visit, Kubrakov held productive meetings with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain.

The Belarusian delegation also visited the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain highlighted that the MoU will formalize the process of sending skilled Pakistani workers to Belarus, where they will receive medical and social security benefits.
